About Silvia Lago
I've been obsessed with heels since I was a little girl, sneaking into my mother's shoes before I was old enough to wear them. By fourteen I had my first pair of my own. By twenty-two I had a problem.
It was May 2011. My first serious job interview. Days of searching for office-appropriate heels I could actually walk in. What I found were 9 cm pumps that looked right and felt like punishment. By the end of the day my feet were burning and I couldn't stop asking myself: why does dressing elegantly mean accepting pain as part of the deal?
The answer came a year later. Preparing my wardrobe for an internship at the United Nations in New York, I found a pair of booties with a mid heel, a heavily padded insole, and soft glove-like leather. I discovered New York in those boots, walking for hours through the city without a single moment of discomfort. They weren't the most elegant shoes I'd ever owned. But they proved something I hadn't been able to find in a single shop: that comfort and a real heel were not mutually exclusive.
I came back to Barcelona with a decision made.
I moved to Alicante, one of Europe's most prestigious regions for luxury shoemaking, and spent several years learning from master artisans: studying construction, experimenting with materials, making trial after trial in pursuit of a heel that was genuinely comfortable without sacrificing an ounce of elegance. Eventually I found what I was looking for: a family-run workshop in Porto, Portugal, where master cobblers have been perfecting their craft for generations and where made-to-order is not an exception but a way of life.
Silvia Lago was born not from a mood board or a marketing brief, but from a real frustration and an unwillingness to compromise elegance for comfort.
Today every pair is built on that same obsession — cushioned insoles, soft leather linings, invisible seams, stable heels engineered for all-day comfort — paired with classically elegant designs in the finest European leathers and fabrics, crafted slowly and made to last decades. That same ethos has extended to our clothing: pieces that feel as good as they look and are effortless to care for.

I ordered these shoes for my wedding and they are beautiful, even the attention to detail with the packaging and how they are presented is great. They did take a bit longer to come than what I expected but they were worth the wait! However, if you are looking to order for a specific event, you need to order three months prior.
I haven’t wore my stunning shoes yet but they look unbelievable
The shoes are absolutely stunning unfortunately the US size 10 as a size European 40, which the correct US 10 is a size 41. So they were too small but they sent me a shipping label to return them. Unfortunately the size 41 won’t be ready for three months. But they are stunning shoes they’re worth the wait.
the shoes are stunning and as soon as my daughter put them on she felt they were perfect!! The wedding isn’t until September but she will wear them around the house to make sure they feel even better!!! Thank you for your incredible shoes and service!!!
I absolutely love my new pumps - they're perfect for wearing all day for my upcoming wedding (my something blue!) as they're really comfortable but still feel special and glam. Silvia was extremely helpful and reliable, rushing my order in time for my final dress fitting. They came beautifully wrapped and the whole experience felt really special. I ordered these pumps from England having seen them at a couple of weddings recently. When I tried them and they were perfect – very comfortable and looked lovely. The only downside was that I had to pay VAT on the delivery which made them a bit more expensive than I had expected. However, I am delighted with them.
These shoes are magnificent. The velvet is of high quality and the design is as pictures! Can’t wait to wear them!
